About me
Abby Bathurst | WriteWatchWork
Hi!

I'm Abby, the owner of WriteWatchWork.

To get to know me a little bit, I thought I'd share some information about myself and what my life looks like. So, here goes...
I'm an October baby, born just before Halloween and live in the United Kingdom.

I would say I'm quite a multifaceted person, purely because I have different sides to my personality. One part of me is the introverted bookworm, who loves comfy clothes and listening to Taylor Swift and watching romcoms.

But then there's the sporty side of me - something I never thought I'd say - which means I often wear sports merch and watch F1, NFL and now NHL.

Then there's the part of the me who loves rock music and Spanish music and action movies and several other things I could list.

And I am interested in working in the publishing industry.
But what do I actually do?

Well, answering that question is a bit complicated. At the moment, I have my eggs in a lot of baskets and am juggling quite a lot of different things.

I am actually a university student, studying a part-time, online degree in Creative Writing. Many people think Creative Writing is a hobby degree, but I respectfully disagree - it is a lot more challenging than one would realise.

On top of that, I am a motorsport journalist, podcaster and editor for FormulaNerds. Whilst I do write about Formula 1, I also focus on the feeder series and F1 Academy as well.

In addition to my degree and journalism, I'm also a freelance beta reader. If you don't know what beta reading is, what it essentially means is I read manuscripts and provide a reader report for the author.

And of course, I am a blogger on all things books, entertainment, work and lifestyle.
Achievements in my life
Publishing my own poetry anthology
Attending Silverstone as accredited media
Attending press conferences for F2 and F3
Being published at my university
Being part of FormulaNerds podcast
Hopefully by now you know a little more about myself.

But just for extra fun, here are five obscure facts about me:

1. I'm ambidextrous

2. I'm bilingual

3. I'm British but I don't drink tea

4. A food I never chew is peas

5. I am writing a dystopian novel
